PRESS RELEASE - New High School Principal

The District is pleased to announce that Mr. Bill Blevins has been selected as the new High School Principal effective July 1, 2017.

Bill earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business from Pacific University and his Masters of Science in Education from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN. He also earned his initial Administrative License through Concordia University in Education with an emphasis in integrating technology into curriculum.

Bill is currently the Principal at Sherman County School as well as the head football and boys basketball coach where he has served for the last four years. Bill has taught business and technology classes at both Sisters and David Douglas High School and currently holds a career technical education teaching license. Bill has been instrumental in helping to raise the graduation rates of 90% and 100% over the past two years.

Bill believes the single most important aspect of student achievement relies on the teacher in the classroom no matter what the circumstance of the students. All students can and should be expected to be successful.

Bill’s 16 years of teaching and 20 years of coaching experience has given him the opportunity to connect with those around him by modeling effective instructional strategies, energizing with perseverance, and developing a culture of collaboration.

He is married to his wife Ellen and has three kids, a senior in high school, a daughter in the 5th grade and a son in the 3rd grade.  He is excited to become a part of the Estacada Community.

Please join us in welcoming Mr. Bill Blevins to the Estacada School District.
