Estacada High School Athletics Begin
Posted on 02/25/2021
Beginning March 1st, the Estacada School District will move forward with athletic competitions, an exciting step forward for Estacada Schools and student-athletes. During the first week, there will be three home sporting events. The district is pleased to be able to host spectators, but will also be diligent and intentional about the safety protocols that will be in place to keep everyone safe.

The first week of athletics will have the following events:

-       Tuesday, March 2nd: Girls Soccer - Each player will receive 4 tickets to distribute to family and friends
-       Thursday, March 4th: Boys Soccer - Each player will receive 4 tickets to distribute to family and friends
-       Thursday, March 4th: Volleyball - Each player will receive 4 tickets to distribute to family and friends

At this time, spectator opportunities are only provided at home games, and capacity will be limited. The district hopes to expand the capacity and COVID-19 rates continue to drop and restrictions relax. At this time we are limited to an outdoor capacity of 150 people including players, coaches, staff, and spectators; and an indoor capacity of 100 people including players, coaches, staff, and spectators. Each home event will be live-streamed on Youtube to ensure that all families and community members will have the opportunity to watch Estacada athletes compete.

Ticket distribution has been created to ensure that each student-athlete has an equal opportunity to have family at events. The district asks that each spectator works in partnership with us by wearing a face covering at all times, monitoring themselves for COVID-19 symptoms, and maintaining social distancing at all times. Together, we can prevent the spread of COVID-19 - and ensure that our student-athletes are able to have the opportunity to participate in athletics this year.
