2021-2022 School Year Update

Estacada School District Families,

As we settle into our final model for the 2020-2021 school year, it is time that we begin communicating our plans for the 2021-2022 school year. It is important to us that we give you an appropriate amount of time to plan for next year with an accurate idea of what next year may look like. It is the intention of the Estacada School District to welcome back all children at all grade levels for five full days of in-person instruction with early release on Wednesdays in the fall of 2021. Families who do not wish to send their students back for in-person instruction will be encouraged to apply to our partner school Summit Learning Charter School. Summit Learning Charter is a highly regarded charter located within Estacada School District boundaries at Eagle Creek Elementary School, and has a longstanding working relationship with the district.

The five-day school week recognizes and honors our Board of Directors approved school calendar that runs through the 2022-2023 school year. This calendar was created through a great deal of research and collaboration with our Calendar Committee, a committee of employees, families, and students. We look forward to returning to the schedule, as well as maximizing our on-campus learning time.

While on-campus learning still may be adjusted to accommodate COVID-19, we feel that this outcome is unlikely and it is our full intention to offer 100% on-campus learning next school year.

We look forward to continuing to serve your children, and are grateful for your continued support and flexibility.
