New Hire: District Translator/Interpreter

ESTACADA, Or.— Leticia Gonzalez Jaramillo has been hired to work as a full-time Translator and Interpreter in a new position for the Estacada School District. 

Leticia Gonzalez Jaramillo will join the district’s Communications Department and will serve at a district and school level as the district works to effectively engage and communicate with the district’s Spanish speaking community. This new classified position will support all school and district staff as our schools and district strive to connect with families during a critical time of family involvement. This is a position that has been created in direct response to staff and family feedback. 

Leticia is a qualified candidate with a passion for serving students and families. Her familiarity with the Estacada community makes her an excellent fit for this position. Communications Director Maggie Kelly noted that “Leticia has an excitement for connecting with our community in this role, and she has a firm commitment to reaching engagement goals within our historically underserved Spanish-speaking community.”

The district’s new hire has diverse experience serving in local school communities, and has most recently worked with Antfarm as a Youth Development Specialist working with families in the Estacada School District. The Estacada School District is excited to see the work Leticia will accomplish in ensuring an equitable learning experience for all students and families in our schools.
